Anti-Slavery Policy

Our commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains

Policy Statement

Granular IT is committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within our business and supply chains. We have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within the business or our supply chains.

Definition of Modern Slavery

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude, human trafficking and forced labour. Granular IT has a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery and we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains.

Our Business

Our organisation structure includes operations in the United Kingdom and Kenya. We provide IT support services, CCTV installation, and managed technology solutions to businesses. We recognise that we have a responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking.

Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking

We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. Our anti-slavery policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

Key Measures:

  • We conduct due diligence on all suppliers before allowing them to become a preferred supplier
  • We build long standing relationships with suppliers and make clear our expectations of business behaviour
  • We have systems to encourage the reporting of concerns and the protection of whistle blowers
  • We have a zero tolerance approach to slavery and human trafficking

Supplier Adherence to Our Values

We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We expect all those in our supply chain and contractors to comply with our values and to ensure that they provide safe working conditions where necessary, treat workers with dignity and respect, and act ethically and within the law in their use of labour.

We require our suppliers to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Provide safe working conditions
  • Treat workers with dignity and respect
  • Not use forced, bonded or involuntary labour
  • Not use child labour
  • Pay fair wages and provide reasonable working hours

Training

We regularly train our staff to understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. Training covers how to identify the signs of slavery and human trafficking, what initial steps should be taken if slavery or human trafficking is suspected, and how to escalate potential slavery or human trafficking issues to the relevant parties within the organisation.

Due Diligence

We undertake due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers, and regularly review our existing suppliers. Our due diligence includes evaluation of the modern slavery and human trafficking risks in our supply chains, evaluation of our suppliers' own policies on modern slavery, and obtaining representations from our suppliers that they comply with anti-slavery legislation.

Risk Assessment and Management

We regularly assess the potential risk of slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. We consider the countries we operate in, the sectors we work with, and the types of services we procure as part of this risk assessment.

Performance Indicators

We will know the effectiveness of the steps we are taking to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within our business or supply chain if no reports are received from employees, the public, or law enforcement agencies to indicate that modern slavery practices have been identified.

Board Approval

This statement has been approved by the Company's directors, who will review and update it annually.

Reporting Concerns

We encourage all employees, customers and other business partners to report any concerns related to our direct activities or supply chains. This includes any circumstances that may give rise to an enhanced risk of slavery or human trafficking.

Any concerns should be reported to our Managing Director or via our confidential reporting channels.
